Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Available are the two front units of a six unit development.
Unit 1 features three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Under 'Robust' design requirements this unit would suit two tenants, or three tenants under 'Improved Livability' SDA design category.
Unit 2 features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Under 'Robust' design requirements this unit would suit one tenant, or two tenants under 'Improved Livability' SDA design category.
Both units are double storey. Unit 1 has a bedroom + ensuite on the ground floor.
All units have only just been completed. CHL is responsible for the on-going property management.
All buildings have been designed by CHL’s in-house architects and comply with current disability design requirements under Australian Standards (AS) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The following are the minimum eligibility criteria for occupation of the property:
• Participation in the NDIS
Ideally, the tenant’s NDIS plan includes eligibility for SDA at a ‘Robust’ or 'Improved Livability' level.
Where no future tenant can be identified that is already eligible for SDA at a ‘Robust’ or 'Improved Livability' level, the future tenant could also be selected on the basis that he/she requires the building design features recommended for ‘Robust’ or 'Improved Livability'. An application for SDA eligibility would be submitted when moving in.
