Staff at our SIL’s adopt a strength-based and recovery-oriented approach to supporting people to achieve their individual goals.
As a resident of one of our SIL’s you will be supported to learn skills and cultivate strategies to successfully engage in activities of daily living. Our ultimate goal is to support you to develop your capacity to live independently. Support is person-centred and based around achieving the goals within your NDIS Plan/SIL Quote. Additionally, group supports are offered to increase community participation as well as enable a more collaborative and social approach to developing your ability to navigate independent living. Staff will further support you to connect with family, friends, groups, activities and other support providers within the wider community.


The residence, available to people aged 18-64 years, is a large two story period home built in the late 1880s, and situated on an extensive garden block in the beautiful Albert Park neighbourhood. Mind has delivered residential services for adults experiencing mental ill-health for the past forty years at the site.

The home offers (12) separate bedrooms for residents upstairs of the main building, plus shared lounge, kitchen and 3 bathrooms. There is an additional, self-contained flat at the back of the property.

This residence is set close to public transport, local cafes, supermarkets, and community services, and is a tram ride away from South Melbourne Market.
