Staff at our SIL’s adopt a strength-based and recovery-oriented approach to supporting people to achieve their individual goals.
As a resident of one of our SIL’s you will be supported to learn skills and cultivate strategies to successfully engage in activities of daily living. Our ultimate goal is to support you to develop your capacity to live independently. Support is person-centred and based around achieving the goals within your NDIS Plan/SIL Quote. Additionally, group supports are offered to increase community participation as well as enable a more collaborative and social approach to developing your ability to navigate independent living. Staff will further support you to connect with family, friends, groups, activities and other support providers within the wider community.

Description

Our property in Brunswick West is home to adults aged 18-64 years. It comprises 6 townhouses (5 resident units and one communal/staff unit) in a quiet residential pocket close to public transport, local shops, cafes and parklands. The property is located within walking distance from Melville and Moreland Roads. The 5 resident townhouses each have 3-bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining area, a lounge, laundry, shared bathroom (upstairs) and toilet (downstairs). The remaining unit holds staff offices, meeting rooms, sleepover room and communal kitchen and lounge areas. The communal spaces are home to an array of books, DVD’s, board games and art supplies available to be borrowed at any time. The townhouses are joined by a large, shared central courtyard area with a veggie garden, comfortable outdoor seating, BBQ clothes lines and undercover areas.
