Shared Supported Accommodation (SSA) or Group Home
Mind Australia staff are committed to- and passionate about- supporting people living with mental ill-health and other complex needs. They are experienced, empathetic and enthusiastic about the work they do. Staff at our SIL’s adopt a strength-based and recovery-oriented approach to supporting people to achieve their individual goals.
As a resident of one of our SIL’s you will be supported to learn skills and cultivate strategies to successfully engage in activities of daily living. Our ultimate goal is to support you to develop your capacity to live independently. Support is person-centred and based around achieving the goals within your NDIS Plan/SIL Quote. Additionally, group supports are offered to increase community participation as well as enable a more collaborative and social approach to developing your ability to navigate independent living. Staff will further support you to connect with family, friends, groups, activities and other support providers within the wider community.
