It is compliant with SDA design categories 'Improved Livability' or ‘Robust’. There are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with solar hot water, open plan kitchen with dining, a living area, garage and private garden. CHL is responsible for the on-going property and tenancy management in cooperation with the selected SIL provider. All buildings have been designed by CHL’s in-house architects and comply with current disability design requirements under Australian Standards (AS) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

The following are the eligibility criteria for occupation of the property:

• Participation in the NDIS

• Have the desire to live independently

Ideally, the tenant’s NDIS plan includes eligibility for SDA at an "Improved Livability' or ‘Robust’ level. Where no future tenant can be identified that is eligible for SDA, the future tenant could also be selected on the basis that he/she requires the provided building design features. An application for SDA eligibility would be submitted when moving in.
